Huge thanks to everyone for coming to share this special day with us - the memories will literally last a lifetime! We were so honored to be surrounded by so many friends & family and know that even those who couldn't be there in person were there in spirit!

We'll send out more updates when we return from our honeymoon, but since the rafting pictures are available online now, we wanted to make sure everyone could find the link. Check out:

We have done all the planning we can do (I think!) and now, it is time for the fun to begin...as soon as I get back from Berlin Sunday at midnight! Really, Walt and I are looking forward to this amazing wedding we get to have and share with everyone who is making it all the way to McCall to join us. We are so fortunate to have such supportive parents who have helped make all of this a reality and to have such wonderful friends and family who are coming all this way to be with us on this special day. Working on some final planning for cute little details for both ceremony and reception. However, little hard to get into the full swing of things when it is still snowing!

That's right - 100% chance of snow today in McCall! Did I mention the reception is all outside? I had to stick snow boots on my mom in order to parade her around the site and explain exactly where the grass, pond, and even the lake, were located under all that snow!

Here is the latest picture I have from our reception site - Meadowood Lodge. Pretty isn't it? Hopefully the only trace of snow in June will be the wildflowers in the field and the water in the pond! See you all when the snow melts...

So finally we called back our 1st option, Steam Powered Airplane, to check if by any chance their previous plans for our weekend had fallen through. And lucky for us - they were indeed free and will now be traveling to McCall for our wedding!

Naturally it included water = surfing to be precise.

We actually first met at a party at Walt's house in Huntington Beach but we didn't have many chances to talk. Luckily, we were both at another party later that summer - a pool party. There we discovered that we both liked to surf and only lived a few blocks from each other. Devin was the only girl in the pool and Walt teased her that she could only do 3 lengths of the pool underwater in one breath. And then he helped her do a backdive for the first time in a long time - by placing a helping hand on the small of her back so she knew how far to reach.

A couple of days later, he called to go surfing. So we surfed and talked and laughed and both had a great time.

Our first real date was a couple of weeks later...we went for sushi and were both nervous with possibility. Walt took the plunge and kisssed Devin goodnight. Devin jokes now that she made up her mind about Walt on our second date a couple of days later. He asked her to go a ride on his Harley and walk out on the pier in the next town. And over dinner, talking about political views and opinions on life, she knew he was a rare find. The next day, our third date, we went surfing again - a day long trek to San Onofre with a couple of friends.

From there, the adventures have never stopped. Walt taught Devin to kayak. She took him swimming to prove why she could paddle way faster than him on a surfboard. We went skiing, kayaking, surfing, and have embraced life together ever since.
