The Adventures of Devin & Walt McBrier....
We did it! 07/02/2009

We are officially hitched and on our way to Costa Rica for the honeymoon!

Huge thanks to everyone for coming to share this special day with us - the memories will literally last a lifetime! We were so honored to be surrounded by so many friends & family and know that even those who couldn't be there in person were there in spirit!

We'll send out more updates when we return from our honeymoon, but since the rafting pictures are available online now, we wanted to make sure everyone could find the link. Check out:
http://klobetanz.smugmug.com/gallery/8698838_CVpRW#574907629_MrUPQ to view pictures of the pre-wedding rafting trip!

The pictures from the wedding photographer will be available in about a week and we will send out more info when they're up and ready to view.

Lastly, if you took video of our ceremony, please let us know! In the flurry of activity that day, we forgot to pull out our video camera and would love to see some footage if it exists.

Thanks again and talk to you soon!
Love,
Devin and Walt McBrier

THE MC WEDDING

First of all, let me say CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding and your marriage. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Savannah thought it was the best wedding in the whole world. All the hard work and the planning paid off for a spectacular 4 days in McCall.

A special thanks goes to Kerry and Bob for going above and beyond the call of duty with all that they did. The big and small touches did not go unnoticed.

Also, a special thanks goes to Ric and Pinky for their generous hospitality and keeping us all fed and watered so well. The farewell breakfast was the perfect ending to a perfect 4 days.

And now, some comments about the two, excuse me, the three of you. I want you both to know how proud I felt to be the father of the bride and now the father in law of the groom. I was beyond happy and yet, a little sad that my little girl is now a married woman. It was if you became Mrs McBrier right before my eyes and you were transformed. I may be a little biased but not overstating that Devin was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen (I hope the other brides in my life will indulge me on this) As a father, you always feel you have to protect your daughter….that duty now is in your hands Walt, and I know you’ll do a great job. And then there is Ema…the perfect first child for the two of you. She was very easy to be around and loves all the same stuff you guys love…what could be better..”you’re a good fur-person Ema”….good job at the wedding. I look forward to your stories from the whole experience and also look forward to being together again in Boise or Laguna or wherever we can get together.

And now for the three words. I started this tradition with Greg and Stacie and continued it with Dave and Katherine and now you two. My three words of advice that will serve you well as you grow in your relationship. But first, a little background. One of my favorite words from the Bible is “grace”. You cannot buy it, you cannot earn it, and you don’t deserve it at all. It is a gift. In my life, it is the greatest gift I ever received. Besides the Godly gift of grace, I have an earthly gift of grace every day. It comes from my bride, Linda. She gives me grace everyday even though I don’t deserve it. I would say most days I deserve no grace at all, but she gives it anyways. It makes me want to love her all the more. Forget the gifts that are wrapped in fancy paper…give me grace any day or should I say every day, and I’ll be happy for all the days of my life. So, these three words are for the both of you…GIVE GRACE DAILY.

I love you both very much…see you soon TFOTB aka Dad

PS ask your brother and sister what their three words were
